Library

We are justifiably proud of our library and believe it is at the heart of all learning and teaching at PTIS. The library caters to the whole PTIS community including residents, parents, teachers and students and visiting schools groups.

The purpose built building is filled with natural light and houses an extensive collection of books, magazines, journals, audio visual resources and teaching materials.

Our library staff ensure that the collection is maintained to a high standard and they also assist library users to locating appropriate resources.

We cater for K - year 12 students, individual, small and large groups and have quiet study and reading areas.

We are committed to ensuring all our students are information literate and work closely with classroom teachers to plan and teach the skills necessary for our students to be life long learners.

We recognize the need for students to have the skills to use a range of print and online resources, students have access to computers dedicated to research via our Reference Café with direct links to our Athena catalogue and other quality academic online resources.

We also celebrate and encourage a love of reading every day through our book displays and during special events including Book Week and International School Library Week.
